It may not be Halloween yet, but we're halfway there! Here's a sexy spider look for your next witchy, creepy or gothy night.
You can use any colors as the base; I used pastel pink and blue.
STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL:
- Using a sponge, dab on your base colors and blend them out to the edge. Try to make a triangular look following the angles of the face. You always want to create a focus point in between your eyes. All lines should aim there.
- Add black lines extending from the eye out, like giant eyelashes. Have three on top curving up and three on the bottom curving down. Don't go down the face past the nose or it will make the face look flattened.
- Using a small #2 brush, connect the lines with curved semi-circles, always going the same direction in a concave or convex fashion based on top versus bottom. Finish the edges by creating pretty tight swirls.
- With your white paint, add highlights to the design and little dots to accent the lines. Always be consistent about your white highlights, as if they were all coming from the same light source.
Have fun with it! You can always embellish with glitter, sparkles and a little spider even!
