7 Top Hand & Nail Products for Fall & Winter

Hello!

Winter is slowly creeping up on us. While I love snow, low temperatures and warm drinks I don't love the state of my hands. Combine cold, central heating with dry air and you got yourself a hand situation. My skin gets extra dry and my nails start breaking more often. On top of that, I work with latex gloves for hours at a time and use lots of hand sanitizes. This year I decided to fight back :) Since the beginning of this month I've been religiously using a wide selection of products to prepare my hands.

My favorite by far is the L'Occitane Shea Butter Zesty Lime Hand Cream (gifted to me at the Beautiful Blogger Meetup). It's a very thick cream that is perfect for night time. It smells amazing, I smell more lemon than lime but the smell is really authentic, like freshly grated lemon zest <3 I put it on before sleep since it takes some time to sink in and in the morning I wake up with the softest hands ever.

I keep a big tub of Balea Blueberry Hand Lotion at work. It was a limited edition but Balea usually has a few different scents of this lotion. What I love about it is the formula,  it's a lightweight lotion that sinks into your skin fast and doesn't leave you with any greasy film so you can continue with your work right away.

Since I'm a hand cream junkie, I always carry a hand cream in my bag. Essence Cookies & Almond 24h Hand Protection Balm was a part of their last year winter collection and since I liked the smell of this so much, I bought a backup. This has the perfect faint smell of cyanide (or bitter almonds, for all the normal people, I just like cyanide :) It's a decent hand cream but you do have to wait a few minutes for it to absorb. Essence Gel Nails at Home Super Rich Hand & Nail Cream has sadly been discontinued :( This truly is a gem. They managed to get the formula just right, it nourishes your skin but absorbs instantly.

Being a nail junkie it's obvious that I need hand care and cuticle care :)

For my cuticles and nails I picked three products. I've been using  jojoba oil as a night treatment since the beginning of this summer and I'm obsessed <3 Muller has a very affordable brand of oils and I bought a big, 200 ml bottle of jojoba oil and I poured it into a clean bottle I bought off Ebay for easier application. My nails have gotten less prone to breaking and are much more moisturized.

Another gem, that was gifted to me at the Beautiful Bloggers Meetup, is Alessandro Veggie Cream Cucumber & Melon <3 This smell so good! It's a thick cuticle cream that absorbs into your skin fairly quick so I use it during the day whenever I feel my cuticles are getting sad. Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle Serum supports fast nail growth and comes in the form of a gel. I use it between manis and I massage it into my bare nails. My nails tend to break more during the colder time of the year so I hope this will help :)

Final pic of my saviors :) Do you have any other tips or products you'd recommend?
