REVIEW: Revlon PhotoReady Liquid Foundation Makeup

There aren't many drugstore products that I absolutely love and would trust on set and off, but Revlon's Photo Ready series is one of the few drugstore lines that I adore!

Today I'll be reviewing Revlon PhotoReady Liquid Foundation Makeup. This foundation is one I've used for quite a while personally and on my clients, so I'll give you an in depth review of my experiences with it!

Official Product Description: For poreless, airbrushed skin in any light, you need Revlon PhotoReady™ Makeup. Photochromatic pigments bend and reflect light to erase every flaw. Our complete, yet undetectable coverage results in a stunning finish

My Personal Product Description: This is a versatile liquid foundation perfect for casual applications, glamorous events, everyday wear and even, yes, film wear. I have used this product for my own routine and on film and television sets with flawless results every single time!

Ingredients: Active: Titanium Dioxide (1.1%), Zinc Oxide (2%), Other: Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Cyclohexasiloxane, Butylene Glycol, Boron Nitride, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Phenyl Trimethicone, PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone, Sodium Chloride, Nylon-12, HDI/Trimethylolhexyllactone Crosspolymer, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Alumina, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Glycerin, Bis-PEG/PPG-14/14 Dimethicone, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Dimethicone/Bis-Isobutyl PPG-20 Crosspolymer, Trisiloxane, Methicone, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Tribehenin, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Cycloheptasiloxane, Silica, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, 1, 2 Hexanediol May Contain: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Zinc Oxide

Packaging: This product comes in plastic pump dispenser. The pump dispenser is actually very nice, and doesn't clog up or get stuck down in the plastic. It allows for precise dispensing of the amount of liquid foundation you want to use, sometimes I just need half a pump, so it helps to prevent from wasting the product. The cap unfortunately doesn't want to stay on at times, and I eventually lost my cap somewhere due to this, but other than that the packaging is nice. 4/5

Price: This product is fairly affordable and is about $13.99 at most US stores. Great if you just need one in your shade, because the product lasts forever. If you want to buy all of the shades for your cosmetic kit for clients you'll be spending a little money but they are wonderful products, so in my opinion they are worth it. 4/5

Accessibility: Revlon Photoready Series is available in most US drugstores and major stores from Rite Aid, Walgreens and CVS to Walmart, Kmart and Target. You can also purchase products of their site http://www.revlon.com/ ; Very easy to find product line. 5/5

Tones/Shades: This product is available in 12 different shades. Ivory, Vanilla, Shell, Nude, Natural Beige, Medium Beige, Cool Beige, Golden Beige, Rich Ginger, Caramel, Cappuccino, and Mocha. The line could definitely use some more dark skin tone shades however.  3/5

Smell: Fragrance Free! Doesn't really have a smell at all, if I was trying hard to detect anything it smelled slightly of a very light, almost undetectable chemical which was probably the SPF it includes. Other than that, no smell, which I would prefer for a liquid foundation. 5/5

Blendability: This product lives up to its claim of having the blend-ability of an airbrush. It is extremely blend-able, versatile and natural looking. You can use it for contours, basic coverage, all over coverage. It's performance is one of the best, if not the best for a drugstore product that I've used so far in blend-ability and general coverage. 5/5

Product Texture: This product is silky, creamy and blend-able. Very light feeling when applied. Does not feel thick, chunky or heavy on the skin. You won't even notice it's on! Doesn't crease, wrinkle or blotch. Doesn't melt, run or easily wipe away. 5/5

Product Performance: This product lasts long in the container, and will give you quite a lot of use! Performance wise will in use is, like I stated early when talking about the blend-ability, probably the best I've used for a drugstore product and even rivals professional brand products. It hides flaws, pores, wrinkles, redness, and tired eyes. Doesn't look overdone or unnatural when applied. Very similar if not the same as an airbrush application. I have used this product in front of HD cameras with no issue! I've also used it for everyday use, weddings, tv series, banquets and more. This is my go to drugsture liquid foundation for any gig! It will easily last all day and into the night with some powder or a setting spray too! 5/5

Tips and Tricks with this product: Mix Revlon Photoready Liquid Foundation with a light shimmering cream highlight like Benefit's Girl Meets Pearl for a luminescent, glowing look. Use this product in varying shades of the product line for a flawless contour. Powder this product lightly with an HD powder for lasting coverage all day. Dab this product on sparingly for a natural yet fresh look.

Overall Review: If you are looking for a product that can perform for any function, and lives up to all of it's claims you've found the perfect product line and the perfect liquid foundation! This foundation looks like an airbrush application, is affordable, easy to find and purchase, works in front of HD cameras, and works for eveyday use. It includes SPF to protect the skin, and doesn't feel heavy or look blotchy on the skin. I love this product, and would suggest it to anyone for any event or liquid foundation need! 5/5
