I'm back to being blonde and we did it all in one afternoon.
After almost two years of DIY projects and coloring my hair at home, I felt it's time for a change and to go back to the professionals. I started missing my blonde locks and I realized I feel better about myself when I'm blonde (blondes have more fun, right?)
Anyway, some of my closest friends and my Mum and hubby too, also prefer me as a blonde. I guess it's because I have such pale skin, when I'm darker it's just too much of a contrast and it makes me look more serious, older and it kind of takes the light away from my face.
A few weeks ago, I finally had some free time on a weekend as I was off from work so I decided to try going to a local hairdresser here in Italy, based upon recommendations of my (blonde) colleagues from work.
For the hairdresser, it certainly was challenging to bring me back to fully blonde, as I had more colors on my head (two months of my natural root color, washed off box hair dye, and some old highlights on my lengths.)
The first thing that this hairdresser did when I told him what I'm planning to do, was touch my hair. I guess he wanted to check the condition of it and if it can "make it through" such a process. Then he said : "OK!" and I was super excited.
This is the photo I showed him of the hair color I used to have a few years ago:
He couldn't promise me this exact result, but we came pretty close to it and I'm impressed! Everything was done in 2-3 hours and he used Fanola professional hair dyes from the "No Yellow World" range.
My hair wasn't damaged in the process and I was super happy at how silky and shiny it was afterwards. The hairdresser put tons of thin highlights all over my head, and then did the toning and color correction afterwards.

The total cost, together with cut & blow dry, was €85 ($96.40 USD) which I think is pretty good price for such a transformation!!! This salon has very competitive prices, in Italian salons this service is usually more expensive (cca 130€), that's why all my colleagues go there, haha!
This is my hair "before"
After a few days of being back to blonde and fully enjoying it, I decided to pamper my blonde locks and keep them moisturized, so I ordered one of the best hair masks, Crema al Latte, by Italian brand, Serical, for nourishment and to bring back the shine and restore its health.
Have you ever tried this product?
I've heard great things about this hair mask, I just had to try it out! I ordered it through Amazon and it arrived super fast, 1000ml for only 7€ who can beat that? It’s super nourishing, also ideal for treatened hair, weakened by bleaching, coloring or perms!
Let me know how do you like this change of mine?
