Garnier Belle Color 7.1 Natural Dark Ash Blonde Color Correction From Brassy, Yellow To Cool Blonde

Hello beauties!

Here we go again...I reached for yet another box hair dye to test it out (and try to fix my somewhat brassy roots), and it worked surprisingly and amazingly great!

So I need to share this product with you!

I'm talking about Garnier Belle Color in 7.1 Natural Dark Ash Blonde (in Italy this actually comes with a different number "4" which can be quite misleading, as one would expect a very dark color in referral to this number. But it's actually "Biondo Cenere Naturale" which translates "Natural Ash Blonde")

I knew that to fix my brassy roots, I cannot go wrong with "ash" and "dark natural blonde" as it would not try to lift my color to an "impossible" level.

This cooled down my brassy roots perfectly and I'm super happy with the results! I even expected it to go darker but the results were actually pretty similar to the photo on the packaging.

These are some screenshots taken from my video review where I'm also vlogging the whole hair coloring process, so if you're interested, take a look here:

I applied this color only on my roots (not on the lengths) as I didn't want to darken the rest of my hair.

Meanwhile, on the lengths, I applied argan oil and left it as a nourishing treatment whilst the color was developing on my roots.

Needless to say, my hair was silky soft and looked very healthy afterwards!

To make the color application easier and more "professional" I used my Macadamia detangling brush, black Franck Provost hair towel for hair coloring, a hair coloring brush/comb (I got it at a local drugstore for a couple of €) and some hair clips.

This hair color has got a great grey/white hair coverage and it's enriched with argan oil so it's supposed to be nourishing as well. It does have a pleasant scent, nothing too strong or chemical that requires to open up all the windows in order not to suffocate!

The only negative thing that I would point out is that it washes out very quickly (even though it's supposed to be a permanent color). It fades away within a couple of washes (I even used a color safe shampoo).

Overall, I was very pleased that I managed to do a color correction to my hair for only a couple of euros (this product is widely available in supermarkets/ drugstores and it retails at no more than 6-7€).

Just to clear something up, I applied this one month after having colored my hair previously, not any sooner! I didn't want to risk damaging my hair (we're still talking about hair color here!), so I was using purple shampoo to tone my hair and it did pretty decent job!

Here's a little note to myself: If you want to keep coloring your roots at home, stick to "dark natural ash blonde" shades and you can't go wrong!

I think I want to review more Garnier hair colors in the future (around 7-7.1 shades), which range of Garnier do you recommend?

xo from Italy,

Sonia Verardo
