Hey Girls,
I will talk a little about the Sephora brushes that I have. Awenyr asked for brush recommendations and she needs to buy some good brushes at a good price. Personally, I adore the Sigma brushes and I dream about them every day :)). Next week, 2 of them should arrive and I can’t wait. But let’s get back to our Sephora ones for now.
Sephora Brushes
And now, I will talk about each one.
48 Powder Brush
It's medium size and pretty fluffy. Because of the hair that it’s made if think it’s a little rigid. I use it for powder and blush but very rarely. The brush has lost a few hairs at first (I did not expect this) but with time it got better.
44 Stipling Brush
It was limited edition, I don’t know if you can still find it at Sephora. It can be used in different ways with multiple products, such as powders, creams and liquids. It’s made from 2 types of hair: natural (the short one), and synthetic (the long one). I use it to apply foundation and creamy blushes.
42 Platinumn Slanted Brush
About this brush, I can say that is the perfect one. This one is also a limited edition brush and is for stippling, one it’s one of my favorites. It applies the blush exactly where it needs to, without loading and you don’t need to insist too much. It’s very soft and I like very much the way it looks. No hair loss until now and the brush has been washed plenty of times.
42 Flat Brush
I like this brush because I think it’s perfect for bronzer and also for highlighter. It’s pretty dense and soft and until now, no hair loss. I have heard people that use it for foundation and they are happy with the results, I never use it for foundation.
46 Concealer Brush
It’s a good brush for concealer. I use it in many ways, not only for concealer. I use it to apply cream eyeshadows and lipsticks. It’s made from synthetic hair and offers easy application.
25 Shadow Brush
It’s made from Taclon hair and can be use for cream and dry products. I usually dip the brush in water before applying dry eyeshadows. It distributes the eyeshadow pretty good and has no hair loss.
20 Eyeshadow Brush
This brush is special for me. The hair is not too long and it offers the correct application of eyeshadows. I use it to apply eyeshadow in the inner corner of the eyes, on the lid, lower lash line and also as a precision brush to cover the small areas. Doesn’t scratch, is fluffy and no hair loss.
14 Smudge Brush
I use it exactly like a pencil; it’s a perfect brush for creating a smokey eye look (just my opinion). The compact and short hair help for easy application on the eyelid and helps to prevent eye shadow fallout on the cheeks.
19 Retractable All Over Eyeshadow Brush
It’s the smallest brush for eyeshadows that I have. I don’t use it that much; it’s suited more for traveling. It’s soft, no hair loss, but I wish it was longer. Anyway, it’s a good brush to have.
13 Rounded Crease Brush
It does such a good job ...I love this brush when it comes to blending. It’s truly fluffier then the rest of the blending brushes that I have; it mixes the color very well and without too much effort.
Double Ended Smokey Eye Brush
It’s a 2 in 1 brush if I can say so, and the hair is purple. It can be used to apply eyeliner as well as be used as a small blending brush. From my point of view, the purpose of using this brush for blending is bad. It’s so small and you can’t really use the brush, in exchange to applying eyeliner, which is good. This is the only downside the brush has. No hair loss.
These can be purchased from Sephora magazines and also from other websites. The price ranges between $13-$40 depending on the brush.
That’s all!
Till next time!
Kisses, M!
