I'm trying to make my first "good" collection of brushes and I'm losing my mind because of the prices! I was wondering which brushes/brands are more effective and cheap at the same time. could you recommend some?

I really like Sephora brushes, also Elf seem to be good for the price :)

Thanks for the recommendation^^ I've tried the basic set of brushes from Elf and some of them have turned out to be pretty bad, that's why I'm asking. But I'll try some Sephora. Thanks!^^

@Awenyr Sonia Kashuk for Target as well as  E.L.F. are pretty good quality and are affordable =)

Thank you^^ I'll take a look!

The first actual brush set I bought was from Shany and I got them off Amazon.  If cost is a consideration I would recommend this set.  I use at least one of these brushes daily.  None of them have fallen apart on me and they are decent in my opinion.  Elf makes good brushes too but I would avoid the Essential face brushes.  The Studio brushes are all quite good and you can buy those as a set as well but they are $30 I think.  You can buy them individually at Target and KMart.

oh, thank you. Much appreciated. Very useful advice, thanks for all the explanation

I love the sedona lace brushes!! but for cheaper alternative i prefer the elf or not costal scents

i use Elf and Sephora brushes:)...i will make some review of them soon if you are interested..those from elf are pretty good for the prices they have...or you can use sigma..i cant wait to receive next week my first brushes from them :D

well, as I said, I've tried the ELF basic set of brushes and I didn't liek them at all,  but I guess I'll to try the black ones and tell you what I think... I'd love a review from you of them and the Sephora ones^^

ok...when ill get home i will make a post with the Sephora brushes, i think it will be up today...kiss

I really love Samantha Chapman brushes, they are not expensive and I havent came across one that I do not like. Elf is ok but like you said they are not all that great. And Samantha Chapman brushes are sold at Ulta. Hopefully this helps :)

thank you, I'll take a look!
