Today's MOTD is a bold look that's not necessarily suitable for everyday, but I really have a lot of fun creating funky, edgier looks every now and then. As a mom of 2 (super) young children, I don't usually get an opportunity to do my makeup other than when I am going out somewhere and I make it a priority. As a result, most of my makeup looks tend to be more neutral and tame so when I get an opportunity to really play with makeup (a.k.a. the kids are at the grandparents) I like to break out all of those colors I don't wear everyday!

This look is all about the blue lips! I love a good blue lip (and green, purple, and black ...) and Kat Von D Beauty's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Echo is one of my favorites! I also used their Alchemist Palette in the shade Saphyre and patted that on top to create a metallic look. They eyes are a sort of reverse smokey eye (if that's a thing?) where I focused the darkest colors in the inner corner rather than the outer corner which is where I would normally place them. I really loved the result, especially the lips. I would have no problem wearing that lip combo out somewhere paired with a classic cat eye to tone down the look a bit. 

For me, makeup is just another medium to create art with and I love experimenting and playing around. At the end of the day it all washes off so it's nothing to take to0 seriously but rather something to enjoy and have fun with!
