Smoky eyes are my favorite makeup look. I feel good when the eyes are strongly emphasized. It is not difficult to achieve, although there are a few key things to note.

First of all, the particles of the eyeshadow like to fall above the cheeks and then they are difficult to remove due to the dark colors of the eyeshadow. There is a simple technique that works for me: I first apply eyeshadows, I cleanse the area under the eyes and then I apply a foundation etc. Second, you need to blend the eyeshadows in order to get the hazy or smokey effect. And finally, your skin must be perfect. All imperfections  must be hidden, the area under the eyes must be illuminated. If you adhere to this, your smoky eye makeup will be just perfect! 

TUTORIAL:

1. Apply a base for the eyeshadows.
2. Line your upper and lower lashline with a black pencil.
3. Apply a dark shadow on the entire eyelid.
4. Apply brown - purple  eyeshadow to the crease.
5. Using a blending  brush, gently blend the transition between the colors to obtain a hazy or smokey effect.
6. Add a little bit of black eyeshadow on the eyelids. Using a beige eyeshadow, gently soften and blend out the upper edges.
7. Apply brown - purple eyeshadow to the outer lower lashline and white to the inner lower lashline.
8. Fill in the eyebrows to frame the eyes. Darken the waterline with a black pencil. Finish the look with mascara!
