I was so excited when I saw the announcement for the new Glow Kit collab between Anastasia Beverly Hills and Nicole Guerriero. I am a huge fan of the Glow Kits and Nicole Guerriero is such a fantastic Youtuber! I knew I had to snatch it up once I saw the inside of the palette. Its just so unique and so stunning, the colors just pop and can really work as both highlighters or beautiful eyeshadows.
The palette has 6 pans of product like the Moonchild Glow Kit and the Ultimate Glow Kit and can be purchased at Sephora and on the Anastasia Beverly Hills website. It retails for $40 USD ($52 CAD) which I think is a fantastic price considering the amount of product you get will probably last the average user a lifetime.
The palette is made up of 6 shades and they are described by the company as follows:
Kitty Kat is pink with a platinum shimmer, Daydream is coral with white gold shimmer, Forever Young is pink pearl with silver shimmer, Forever Lit is platinum with lavender shimmer, Glo Getter is champagne with rose shimmer, and 143 is rose gold with bronze shimmer.
I have used this palette for about a week or so now and I have to say it's one of my favorites! The highlighters really give the skin that wet look which is so gorgeous! I don't currently own any other highlighter that does that for me. It's by no means a subtle highlight and they are very pigmented so I recommend going in with a light amount of product and building up from there to your desired amount. There is really a shade in here for everyone and the ones that may not work for you as a highlight will most definitely work as an eyeshadow or even a blush or bronzer topper. You can also use Forever Lit as a mixing shade to lighten up any of the other shades in the palette which I think is such a genius move! After using each one, the standout shades for me are Forever Lit, Kitty Kat and Daydream. Honestly, Forever Lit blew me away - it's INSANE!
The only con I have found so far is that this formula, unlike the 4 pan Glow Kits (Gleam, Sun Dipped, etc.), is not as finely milled and does have some larger, glittery pieces. It's not super noticeable on the face, but it does catch the light sometimes and then I do see them. This doesn't particularly bother me personally as I have already decided that this palette isn't for everyday, natural looks but rather for more dramatic, glam looks where a bit of glitter won't be super obvious or look silly. Also, I don't own a single highlighter with any sort of glitter in it so this is actually a welcome addition to my collection. But if you hate glittery highlighters then this palette may not be for you, but I recommend swatching it in store to find out because it truly is a stunner.
Overall this palette gets a huge thumbs up from me and I would highly recommend it! I think it's such a perfect palette going into spring with all the rose gold and peachy shades and I know I will get so much use out of it on the face and the eyes. Anastasia Beverly Hills has quickly become one of my favorite brands as they produce such a vast range of high quality products at a really reasonable price so I am always excited when they launch new products.
