Winter Is Here: Icy Cold Makeup Ideas | Snow Queen Wintery Makeup

Inspired by the icy-cold frigid temperatures, we've put together these gorgeous makeup ideas to inspire your inner snow queen to shine. Get ready to experiment with iridescent whites and an icy blue color palette, embellished with sparkling glitter and clear crystals. From icy cool to dramatic and frosty, these look ideas will leave you inspired to try a cool -toned color palette this winter.

SNOW BLIZZARD:

Snow Storm // Blizzard // Ice Blue Butterfly

Get inspired by a snow blizzard for a spectacular Insta Worthy work of art! Frosty white and icy blue will be your two main shades to create this look. Monochromatic eyes and lips are brought to life with colorful glitter tears. Embellish glitter tears with pearls, small rhinestones and glitter. Complete the look with a cool-toned lip and add a high shine lip gloss to amp up the look.

WINTER BLING:

An icy cold smoky halo can be created with just two to three shades and pop on a killer highlighter in frosty white to illuminate the eyes. For something a bit more dramatic, try celestial makeup which has been a huge trend and it's so perfect for the monochromatic blue color palette. Instantly take your look from basic to glam with a little bit of bling. Use iridescent rhinestones, Swarovski crystals and face and body jewels to decorate your eyes, cheeks, lips and even forehead.

SNOW QUEEN:

Winter Ice Queen // Ice Queen // Ice Queen

The next wintery makeup look was inspired by her majesty, the Snow Queen from the famous fairytale by Hans Christian Andersen. She was the queen of snowflakes and she loved to travel throughout the world with the snow, covering the land with thick ice. Channel your inner Snow Queen with pale, snow-white foundation and apply all your face. You can skip this step for a more everyday look. Set the foundation with translucent powder and apply a cool-toned blusher for a naturally flushed appearance. Cover your brows and lashes with loose white pigment to create the illusion of frost and use a light pink or blue lipstick to finish the Snow Queen look. An ombre or just bitten lip would also compliment this look, beautifully.

We are obsessed with the combination of a white and dark blue color palette. Use these two colors to create a well-defined cut crease or semi-cut crease eyeshadow design on your lids. Prime your eyes with an eye shadow primer, highlight the brow bone and blend a nude eyeshadow onto the crease to soften and blend the look. With a sharpened pencil, define the crease area and fill the space with a bold blue eyeshadow. On the rest of the lid, fill with matte white or frosty white eyeshadow. Bold black eyeliner is not mandatory, but it will beautifully complete this ice cold look. Draw a few tiny snowflakes with multi-use cream color and your ice cold winter makeup is done.

Ice Cold Skin // Glam Winter Glow // Glass Skin

Give your skin a cool-toned icy glow by highlighting your cheekbones, eyes, cupid's bow and just above the brows. You can use chunky glitter to place blinding accents on these areas or highlight them with subtle creamy glow. Layer and mix for a customized glow. Sharpen your luminous makeup look with neatly defined, eyebrows and ideal glossy lips.
