Golden Rose is a name that I'm familiar with since I was a child because my mother used their products often. After so many years, the brand remains on the market and they even improved their products with time. Today, I will talk about my first foundation I used from them, which is the: Satin Smoothing Fluid Foundation.
The packaging is very simple. The bottle is transparent and comes with a pump. I love when the foundation has a pump because you can dispense the exact amount of product you need without wasting any product. There's also a standard transparent cap that covers the pump, which I find very helpful. If I need to take it with me there is no risk of getting my bag or my clothes dirty since the pump without a cap can accidentally dispense the product. The product comes packaged in a black carton box, which unfortunately I threw out, that’s why I don't have pictures with it.
This foundation has medium coverage and the staying power is quite well during the day. If it's set with a powder, the staying power is enhanced. If you'd like more coverage, this product is buildable, so you easily apply more layers, blending very well. It's very easy on the skin, it doesn't have that masking effect and leaves the skin perfectly matte. I've tested it on a friend with oily skin and she was very pleased with the results.
This foundation is available in 10 shades, for both yellow and pink undertones. It's quite impossible not to find the right shade for your skin. It also contains Vitamin E which has an antioxidant effect on the skin as well as SPF 15, so it’s okay to wear it in the summer, too.
It’s quite similar to Revlon Colorstay, except it's not that heavy on the face and does not last as long as the Colorstay formula.
