Review & EOTD: Mememe Cosmetics Drama Eyes

Who doesn't like to win a makeup goody?
I recently won an amazing makeup kit from Mememe Cosmetics from their facebook fan page contest.
I didn't know what the prize was since the contest stated it was a goody bag, so I was thrilled after opening my parcel because they sent me the Drama Eyes Create The Look Kit. I am a huge fan of smokey looks, so this kit is just perfect for me!

Kit Contains:
  • Baked eyeshadow quad
  • Eye Pencil in Coal
  • Liquid eyeliner Eye Sweep
  • Fat Cat Lengthening Mascara & How-to Guide

Price: £15.99

Product Description:

For an alluring rock-chick look with a modern twist. The star of the show is a baked quad palette featuring shades of blue and black which can be used both wet and dry for maximum impact. Also includes a luxurious 'Coal' black Eyeliner, Eye Sweep precision eye defining pen in 'Hot Black' and our best-selling Fat Cat mascara, along with a how-to guide to create the ultimate 'Drama Eyes' MeMeMe Cosmetics is the affordable boutique cosmetics range. Inspired by the philosophies of Ancient Greece and the beauty and elegance of the Renaissance, MeMeMe is a celebration of the free spirit found within us all. Each product is adorned in layers of personality and looks as stunning as it performs.

Eyeliner Pencil in Coal:
I always collect black eye pencils and have about 10 of them. This pencil took the 2nd rank in my collection. It's soft and creamy and a very deep black. The texture is so smooth, so it can be easily worn on the waterline.

Precision Eye Definer:
I am not a fan of felt-tip/marker liners but this works good. I especially love the pointed and smooth tip!

Fat Cat Mascara:
I am not happy with the mascara because it felt it so heavy on my eyes and it's kind of a sticky and a very dry formula, which I find hard to apply properly.

Eyeshadow Quad:

I was most excited to try the baked eyeshadow quad, it contains a coal black, blackish blue, blue and silver grey eye shadows. This eyeshadows are soft and pigmented.

Swatches:

I have created a smokey eye look with this makeup kit. I used the coal pencil as a eyebrow pencil, as a kajol and to create the depth on outer v area. For the eyelid,  I used the blackish blue in the center, black at the outer corner, blue in the inner corner and silver grey on the brow bone area as a  highlighter. I used the Precision Eye Definer Liner for the upper lashline and of course the Fat Cat Mascara. On the lower lashline, I used the pencil along with the black coal eyeshadow.

Finished Look:

Over all this is a really nice gift set. It contains everything you might need for a lovely eye look.the quad is just perfect for smokey eye look. The only disappointment was the mascara.

Hope u guys enjoy the post!
