Eyeshadow bases are said to be an essential part of any makeup stash. I got mine from Artdeco after going through many good reviews about it, but is Artdeco Eyeshadow Base my cup of tea? Read on to find out my verdict on it.
Artdeco Eyeshadow Base claims it considerably improves the durability, color, intensity and luminescence of powder eyeshadow and makes it waterproof. It includes Vitamin E and bisabolol.
Now as per my review, Artdeco Eyeshadow Base comes in cute little packaging, a small pot with cream textured eyeshadow base which has some sort of frost and sparkly sheen in it, but it doesn't show at all when applied on eyelids with eyeshadow. A strong masculine scent can be a turn off for those who don't like scented beauty products, but it really doesn't linger upon application.
The cream is quite thick and frosty, it would be really difficult to blend eyeshadows if applied in a gross amount. I would suggest to apply a thin layer of Artdeco Eyeshadow Base to get the best results.
As shown above in swatches, Artdeco Eyeshadow Base slightly pops up the color. I have shown swatches of both light and dark eye shadows in order to show the effect of this product. The dark eyeshadow as seen is more intensified with primer while the light shadow became more bright and frosty. The staying power as it claims is really good and it's waterproof. I won't say it doesn't crease, because it did crease on my oily eyelids.
Overall, its a good product.
