the fever hasn't really stopped yet either! I’ll try to get a DIY blog post (or a couple) in, between Thurs-Sat!
The following is just a little haul post of what I picked up. ELF has always been a favorite of mine, mainly because they don’t test on animals and they have such nice prices, but I don’t always find ELF products here.
ELF Studio Glamour Girl Nail Polish
I have a couple of ELF nail polishes, so I bought a beautiful shade called Glamour Girl. It is like a darkish beige and a great eye catching neutral shade with mini gold flake shimmers in it, it’s so pretty!
ELF Studio Matte Lip Color in Coral
I really wanted to try this shade when I saw it online. This color seems more on the peachy nude side to me, which is more flattering to Sri Lankan skin tones. It gives just enough color to see the hint of coral, but nothing overly dramatic. I found this more of a fun spring shade and if you are looking for a perfect matte, this may be tad disappointing, though.
Swatch:
Here's a pic of me wearing the lip color:
I do not think this applies smoothly on bare lips or moisturizes on its own.. The slight dryness of the formula makes the product tug against non-moisturized lips. I would suggest using a lip balm underneath the e.l.f. Matte Lip Colors to make the product glide onto the lips without tugging. The pointed tip of a brand new stick allows for easy control when applying the product, however, as the tip dulls down over time, it gets increasingly difficult to have good control of the placement of the product on the lips. Overall, I really love this shade, but has a crappy lasting duration & it kind of washes me out; these type of pastel shades are more suited to a paler and fairer skin :)
Have you tried any of them? What are your thoughts? XOXO
