How to Match Your Jewellery with Your Makeup

What many people do not realize is that when we match our jewellery to our makeup, we stand out even more. However, making a perfect match requires some experience, and a lot of dedication. Not one woman has the same makeup products and accessories as any other, so you can’t really rely on universal tips to make the most smashing blend. Though there are very few laws in this beauty field, we have laid out some of them to inspire you for creating your unique and personal combinations.

Lush brows with exotic features

If you’re opting for an exotic look, then combining lush, fluffy eyebrows with statement feather jewellery will do the trick. Feathers are a common part of some native cultures, and if you want to add a bit of extraordinary beauty to your everyday looks, get yourself a pair of statement feather earrings or a dream catcher necklace. You can also use some tribal elements if you want to spice things up even more. Celtic jewellery is very convenient for creating such an effect, plus if you look it up a bit, you’ll find out that each handmade piece of Celtic jewellery is very meaningful.

Hoops with statement eyelashes

Earrings make your face instantly light up, and the bigger they are – the stronger the effect. However, this effect works best if you don’t have any makeup on. The way to go when implementing earrings so that they complement your makeup is to opt for the technique “less is more”. When you already have your full makeup on, you should avoid large earrings because they will move the focus from your makeup. Instead, you should opt for discrete hoop earrings which are not that eye-catching, but make a stunning blend with dark, bold eyelashes. Hoops with small pendants or those textured with pearls and gold will grant your look with a stunning, yet sophisticated effect.

Avoid the matchy-matchy look

An easy way to finish off your look is to just combine the colour of the jewellery with the colours you chose for your makeup. Bright yellow eyeshadow and sun-kissed earrings along with a spotlessly polished, pastel necklace can’t look bad together, right? Wrong. Matching colours with your makeup is a good idea only if you are a makeup model currently posing for a new photo session. Otherwise, it’ll only look like you’ve given fairly little thought to making your look adequately balanced and harmonized. Instead of going for the matchy-matchy look, it would be better for you to go with complementing colours. Combining yellow with blue and green with red will give you a refreshing look and help you show off your artsy skills.

Emphasize the details

Most of us do our makeup by carefully taking care of every little blend and making sure that every eyeliner line is in place. But these details might come undone if you don’t take a chance and emphasize them with accessories to make an even stronger impression. Make your eyeliner stand out by getting ear cuffs with subtle details matching your eye colour. This way, you can use your natural accents to your benefit and make a combo by emphasizing the colour of your eyes and your accessories, as well. You can use details that match your skin colour, too. Imagine wearing a pair of sunglasses with a frame printed with your skin tone texture. You can imagine this being pretty unordinary, but it actually looks more natural than anything else.

The best makeup you can have, though, is your personal unique accents, and the way to emphasize them is to use jewellery that lets their true glow be seen. Don’t be afraid to show off your natural beauty, and keep in mind that all the makeup and accessories are only as good as the way you use them. And remember – with great beauty comes great responsibility.
