We are looking forward to embracing brand new makeup trends, inspired by cool autumnal weather and vibrant colors of nature. This fall season, make a statement with the hottest trends: smokey eyes, glitter lids and jewel tones just to name a few.
Check out all the most-wanted beauty trends as seen on the fall 2018 runways and explore some look ideas that we've put together for you (feat the Glam Fam!) based on the hottest trends!
Christian Siriano has prepared one of the juiciest makeup trends and if you're a fan of color, you'll love this trend! He featured bright sweeps of bold color in coral and fuchsia across the lids in a dramatic winged effect. He kept the lids in a monochrome palette for a simple yet striking look.
Smoked Out Color
If you're not a fan of monochromes or are looking to kick it up a notch, try combining bright fuchsia with complimentary hues for an eccentric look.
Intense Color
Fiery Eyes
Bright eyeshadows were also on show at Marni, Sies Marjan and Prada - so have fun with bold pops of color this season!
Autumnal Yellow
Lemonade
Sour Apple
Creative director Stuart Vevers and makeup artist Pat McGrath took the classic smoky eye makeup look to a whole new level. Exaggerated elongated winged shadow in smoldering bronze and taupe hues had a gothic like appeal. The liner was bold on the upper lashline in a feline cat eye and really pointed in the inner corners. To get this look, try a color palette in taupe, hazy grey and deep olive shades.
Grunge Eyes
Intense Smokey
BOLD EYEBROWS:
Bold Brows
What do we want? Eyebrows! How do we want them? Bushy and untamed! Give your eyebrows some freedom, because Alexander Wang proves that you need nothing else, when your eyebrows are bold.
Jonathan Simkhai and Brandon Maxwell showcased neutral looks with a spotlight on red lips. Use a versatile red matte lipstick which is perfect for holiday season and compliment the look with a bit of highlight for a classic glam look.

Marc Jacobs also featured dramatic smoked out winged shadow which seems to be the main trend this season. Makeup artist Diane Kendal used pressed glitter pigment eyeshadow in jewel tone shades in smoky bronze and darkened violet from the new holiday collection. For a defined look, gel eye crayon was used on the inner rim of the eyes and smudged across the lower lashline. The face was kept nice and fresh with this foundation according to Allure.
If you're planning on trying the new glitter shadows, you can try this full sized gel eyeliner with any Marc Jacobs $50 purchase for a limited time.
There is nothing better than good ol' shimmer and glitter. Upgrade your daytime neutrals with a touch of glitter this party season. Go for bright and bold hues in fun textures.
Alice + Olivia brought back the 80's disco vibe with smokey black raccoon eyes topped with black chunky glitter. Maybelline global makeup artist Erin Parsons used this Maybelline gel pencil as a black smokey base for the look then used glitter adhesive before adding the chunky black glitter.
Gilded Smokey
Warm Smokey
If full on black smokey eyes aren't your thing, you can still try this trend with a bit of color and just add the smokey black on the outer edges or try a halo effect.
Smokey Glam
Blue Sparkle
Chocolate Emerald
Oscar de la Renta featured the minimalistic look with fresh glowing skin and the wet glossy eye look. Makeup artist Tom Pecheux created a look inspired by British gardens. Pecheux began with a creamy lavender base all across the lids. Holographic lip color in Pink Trip was applied to the center of the lids and used as a sticky base before applying the glitter.
Stay away from harsh contouring this season as Tom is not a fan. He told Vogue, “For me, makeup is to make you more unique than what you are [already]—more than making you look like everybody else.”

Rose Gold Smokey
For those who want to look dramatic and glamorous, Jill Stuart created sunset inspired smokey eyes in metallic bronze and gold.
For a delicate approach to this look, try a soft peach and champagne color palette for a dreamy fall look.

For a more dramatic look, combine rustic bronze and copper combined with bright corals, fuchsia and burgundy.
Eyes on Fire

Colorful eyeliner is another fall makeup trend we can look forward to. Dior showcased a minimalistic face with the emphasis on blunt liner in colorful shades in pink, yellow and burgundy. Adding colored liner to a neutral face is a quick way to add a pop of color and an interesting element to your look.

Red Liner
If you're feeling bold, try a monochrome eye makeup look with colored liner and combine wth a graphic cut crease. Make sure to smudge an eyeshadow in a similar shade across the lower lashline to balance out the look.
