Tutorial: Kareena Kapoor Lakme Illusion Collection Inspired

Hello Girls,

Today, I am sharing an eye makeup tutorial inspired by the Lakme Illusion Collection – Kareena Kapoor look which is an intense smokey blue-green eye look.

I have skipped the eyeliner here as she wasn't wearing one.

Steps to create this Sultry Smokey Eye Look:

I have defined my brows before starting with the look with my current favorite Sleek Eye Brow Kit in Dark Medium. So, I haven’t included those in my Tutorial.

Start with applying concealer under the eyes to hide dark circles and pigmentation.

Step 1 : Line your upper lash line using a Black kohl pencil. I used Bourjois Kohl and Contour Eye Pencil in Noir Black, though you can go for any creamy pencil that smudges easily.

Step 2: Blend the kohl all over the lid using fingers as shown to create a base and intensify the Eye shadow we will apply in next step.

Step 3: Using a Flat eye shadow brush (SIGMA E55 Shading Brush) apply a dark Bluish-purple Eye shadow over the base with patting motion to deposit maximum color onto the lids but do not go beyond the crease. I opted for shimmer/metallic eye shadow from Accessorize palette.

Step 4: Fill waterline and line lower lash line with same creamy black kohl to create a base for green shadow that we are going to apply next

Step 5: Pick a pearly dark green eye shadow on a pencil brush and run the brush along the lower lash line applying it from outer corners till inner 2/3 of eyes. Make sure to leave the inner corner area as we are going to apply highlighter there.

Step 6: To make the look even more intense add a bit of black eye shadow on the outer V corners. Just a little amount, so that it doesn’t over powder the bluish purple we have applied over the lids.

Step 7: Soften the edges of the Eye Shadow applied using a fluffy Blending brush and eliminate harsh line. I used SIGMA E25 Blending Brush.  While blending eye shadow in the crease used a pearly purple eye shadow for a smooth transition and soft blended look.

Step 8: Highlight brow-bone and inner corner using a yellow toned pearl finish eye shadow. To add to the Yellow I layered it over with another Yellow colored Eye Shadow (INGLOT  #474 DS)

Step 9: Finish up with 2-3 coats of your favorite volumizing Mascara to top and bottom lashes. I used L’Oreal Million Lashes Mascara.

To add more drama to the look, add false eyelashes.
