I'm going to start a new series of posts here on my Glam Express blog! I'll be sharing with you beauty product "empties" that I've used up and I'll be giving you short reviews about these products, telling you whether they're worth repurchasing, or not!
This is something that I used to do in a video format, for my youtube channel, but lately (since I've become a Mum) I don't have a lot of time to film and I also don't have enough space in my home to accumulate empty containers, so this is how this idea came about.
I've decided that I'll be presenting 5 empties, products that may be makeup (even though it's much more difficult to use up makeup than other beauty products), skin care, body care, hair care etc.
For my first post, these are the products I've used up and wanted to mention:
Cleo Body Cream in a mousse version (like a body butter). Very thick consistency, but non greasy and it absorbs really quickly into the skin. It's supposed to be hydrating and nourishing.
The price was very inviting (around € 1- 2) and so was the packaging! I have to admit, I bought it because of the packaging and because I love beauty products with vanilla extract.
This one, besides vanilla, has hazelnut flower extract! This product is made in Italy. Overall, it was a good product but, I have to say, the scent let me down. I expected this to have this really indulgent, sweet scent, but it was very disappointing, as it didn't smell anything like vanilla! Maybe the hazelnut flower scent has got this undefined, barely there scent?
My Verdict: I won't be repurchasing this product. I like my body creams / butters to have a really luxurious, indulgent feel.)
Next is Chilly Intimate Wash. Again, an Italian product. This was very delicate and I liked it. It's good for sensitive skin. Also, it's well priced.
My Verdict: I already repurchased Chilly many times. Not only this pink one, but other versions too and was always satisfied. Good product.
This Babylove Oil is made for Drogerie Markt drugstores and it's made in Germany. It's specifically for pregnancy, as it moisturises the skin and prevents stretchmarks. It's very affordable!
I loved using it, both during, and after pregnancy (my skin was very dry after giving birth, so I loved using natural oils as a hydrating boost).
My Verdict: Great product for the price that it has. I'd definitely repurchase it, to keep my skin smooth, nourished and free of stretchmarks! (Can I just mention, I didn't get any single stretchmarks during pregnancy!)
Caudalie Grape Water; I love this product! Great for soothing and moisturizing dry and sensitive skin. I was using this instead of a toner and in hot summer months, I like to bring this spray at the beach with me (prior to this, I pop it in the fridge so it's nice and cool later!).
My Verdict: I love Caudalie skincare! I already repurchased this product in the past and I'll certainly be purchasing it again.
Last on my "Empties" list is this new hair color by L'Oreal, Colorista Paint. I picked it in shade Beige Blonde. It comes with a little brush and it's super easy to use. I applied this color only on my lengths and I used darker color on my roots (I'm yet to do a full review on it!).
I liked the results, the only thing is that this hair color has got a particularly strong smell ( I felt I was going to suffocate and I had to open all the windows!). But the shade is pretty cool!
My Verdict: I would buy this again and maybe test out some other shades from the Colorista range!
I hope this post was interesting!
