Emerald Makeup Tutorial | May Birthstone

Hi guys, I'm back with a new step by step makeup tutorial and this time I was inspired by beautiful Emerald, the birthstone of the month May.

Emerald is a symbol of rebirth and love, this stone is very rare therefore precious. The color of emerald stone is breathtaking, it reminds me of an ancient green forest - deep, mysterious and noble. If you look closely at a raw emerald stone you see all the shades of green, from light pistachio to a dark basil. This color is perfect for the end of spring - warm and bright May. Emerald makeup will look especially beautiful on blue, green and gray eyes.

Step 1: Start with an eyeshadow primer - apply it all over your eyelid and blend with the help of your fingertips. Eyeshadow primer will help the color last longer and look bolder on the skin. Give this product some time to set down and absorb into the skin and then continue with the makeup.

Step 2: Fill in your eyebrows using an eyebrow pencil or an eyeshadow, as you prefer. Start to apply a satin white eyeshadow all over the eyelid, this will make the application of the pencil easier. Now it is time to create a 'v' shape on the the center of the eyelid. Don't worry if the shape turns out to be a bit messy, you can clean the edges later. Fill in the eyelid with the same black eye kohl, leaving the 'v' shape unfilled.

Step 3: Blend the pencil with the help of small and soft synthetic brush. Create the same 'v' shape on the lower lashline, but make it a little bit smaller. Start to apply an emerald green eye shadow on the top of an eye kohl.

Step 4: Apply a minty green light eyeshadow with a soft satin finish in the center of the eyelid, filling in the V shape.

Step 5: The next step is to put a black eye kohl on the upper waterline. Curl the lashes and apply a few coats of your favorite mascara. To finish up the Emerald Makeup, apply dramatic eyelashes and it's done!

Happy birthday to all my lovely beauties born in May. Emerald is one of my favorite stones and you are lucky to have it as your birthstone. I hope you liked my Emerald Makeup tutorial, please don't forget to let me know what you think of this makeup look and follow my blog for more birthstone makeup tutorials. Hugs and kisses :*

Lots of love,
