Today's look is an ombre lip tutorial.

This cranberry and violet lip look is very bold and definitely editorial.

I've created two different versions, matte and glossy.

STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL:

Step 1: Begin with a moisturizing lip balm.

Step 2: Then, outline and fill in your lips with a purple lip pencil.

Step 3: For the rest of the look, I’ll be using eyeshadows to contour and create the gradient effect. Apply a red eyeshadow to the center of lips leaving the purple outline visible. Blend into the purple shade.

Step 4: Apply a black shadow on the upper lip below the cupid’s bow. Blend so the edges thin out and blend into the purple.

Step 5: Using a silver eyeshadow or highlighter, apply to the bottom half of the lip, primarily to the center. You may want to use your fingers to pat this product on.

Step 6: Using a black eye pencil, outline and contour your entire lips. Blend.

Step 7: Using a purple eyeshadow, apply to the lip line and begin blending the look together.

Step 8: Once you’re satisfied with the gradient, tap a translucent powder over entire lips to mattify the look.

Step 9: Optional: for a high glamour look with shine and shimmer, apply a clear gloss to entire lips. Then, pat on an iridescent pigment with purple and green reflects to the outer portion of the lips creating a beautiful glass like gradient effect!
