Cranberry Red Metallic X Ultra Violet Liner Tutorial

Hey dolls,

Today's makeup tutorial is an intense red metallic smokey eye.

Red is usually a shade that intimidates most people, but when paired with earthy hues in this smokey technique, it can become wearable.

If this look was paired with heavy black eyeliner, it'd become even more dramatic and bold, hence, why I chose a matte cranberry for the upper lashline.

To keep the look fun and unique, I added an unexpected pop of color on the lower lashline.

Enjoy!

Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette ((Eden, Amber, Oud) (Lower Lashline)

STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL:

Step 1: Apply Eden, matte peach, to the brow bone and blend. I’ll be using the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette for this look.

Step 2: Then, apply Amber to the crease and blend upwards towards Eden.

Step 3: Apply a metallic red base to the center of the lid. I used Lime Crime Velvetines in Red Hot Metallic Cherry Red.

Step 4: Now, layer a metallic red pigment to amp up the intensity. I used Tammy Tanuka Sigil Inspired Pigment in Fire Dancer.

Step 5: Blend out the edges using the shade Amber.

Step 6: Smoke out the outer ‘v’ with OUD, matte brown.

Step 7: For a fun color pop, add a contrasting shade to the lower lashline; I chose a bright bluish purple. I used Inglot AMC Pigment Eyeliner Gel in 82 on the waterline.

Step 8: Smoke out the lower lashline with Amethyst.

Step 9: To bring the look together, apply Amber onto the outer lower lashline for a smoked out effect. Blend the edges with Eden.

Step 10: For the upper lashline, apply a deep cranberry shade. I used Lime Crime Velvetines in Dream Girl.

Step 11: Highlight the brow bone and inner corners with a champagne pearly highlight. I used Tammy Tanuka Sigil Inspired Pigment.

Step 12: Finish with black mascara.  I used cult fave L'oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara in Black.
