Autumn/Winter 2013 Makeup Trends: Glittery Eyes

Hello Dolls!

Glittery eyes were just one of the beauty trends that were seen on the runways this season. We have to say, with party season just around the corner, this is one of the trends that we're most excited about!

Here are our Top 10 favorite glitter looks from the Glam Express Beauty Community!

This look is so unique and fun! The glitter flakes are definitely a statement on their own, but while paired with this eccentric color combination, it'll be a great conversation starter at your next holiday event!

Coral Shards by Heather Makeup Mouse

There's something appealing about jewel-toned colors when used on the eyes.

Here, it's used on the eyelids with a black smokey eye, which adds a nice sophisticated and elegant feel. Perfect for a cocktail party.

Multi-colored eye looks can either make or break your entire look! A LBD, neutral or simplistic ensemble would compliment this look best.

The red + green color combo are perfect for Christmas!

A girl can never go wrong with a monochromatic color palette! Choose two shades and apply up to the crease in a gradient like effect. Then add a glitter to the eyelid.

Fine glitters are a lot more wearable and subtle compared to chunky glitters, yet add the perfect amount of sparkle to your look.

Gold and green are perfect colors which you can wear all season!

Adding matte eyeshadow in the crease will not only intensify the look but will add a nice contrast to the glitter. Plus, your glitters will show up better in flash photography!

Smokey Glitter by Roxanne Rocknroll

If you're not afraid to go all out this festive season, this look is for you! Simple but sometimes messy to create and may be a bit of a challenge to get the glitter from creasing.

For this look, you're going to need a really good adhesive to make the glitter stick to your lids so it's not flaking on your cheeks all night.

Pro MUA Emanuel recommends Kryolan Eyelash Adhesive.

If you're the simplistic kind of gal, who loves to add a nice peek-a-boo color, this look is for you.

A shimmery gold eyeshadow all over the eyelid, with black liner and a fun pink glitter liner.

This look will compliment both casual and formal attire, just switch up the color of the glitter liner.

Red is such a bold color and is difficult to pull off but can be incorporated into a festive look, if worn correctly.

Keep the red towards the outer part of the lids and add a shimmery white highlight to brighten the eyes.

If wearing red on the lips, keep the hue darker and more wine colored so it's not too matchy-matchy.

Keep the face makeup minimal.
