Maybe it's just me, but I feel like companies having been launching new products and collections every couple of months and it's getting hard to keep up! I love it obviously, because who doesn't love new makeup? But as someone with a decent size collection of makeup already, I've decided to become a little pickier when it comes to my purchases. I am more patient with my purchases, waiting to read reviews and to see products in store and play with them a bit before buying.

Here are my top three products I purchased in April (one is from May but, whatever ....)

1) Urban Decay x Basquiat Blush Palette

This palette is absolutely gorgeous! The highlight is definitely the standout here, it's so buttery and smooth and melts into the skin. It's not chunky or glittery at all, so it's very wearable. The bronzer is very warm, and very pigmented, so you definitely want to go in with a light hand and a fluffy brush but it's beautiful as well. The blushes are great and I love that you get one lighter, brighter shade and the other is darker and deeper. They can be worn alone or mixed together.

2) Kat Von D Beauty Rock Candy Lipstick Set

This is the mini Studded Kiss Lipstick set from Kat Von D Beauty that features a brand new Studded Kiss formula that will eventually replace the existing line. It comes with 6 different shades that are so pigmented it's insane! Honestly, the color payoff is amazing and the formula is really nice and comfortable to wear. The shades are really bright and will be amazing for Summer!

3) Becca Cosmetics x Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette

Another face palette! I feel like blush palettes have been popping up everywhere these days. This is the new collab between Becca and Chrissy Teigen and it features two highlighters, one blush, and one bronzer. I think some customers were worried that this palette might be too dark for fairer skin tones but so far I have found no issue. I do have a warmer, medium tone complexion though so that could be why it works well for me. I do find the blush and bronzer to be very sheer in application making it easy to build up the color slowly which is helpful for very fair skin tones. The highlighters are gorgeous, as you would expect from Becca. From what I read prior to the release, this palette is meant to give you a very natural, glow from within look, rather than a heavy strobe and it definitely delivers. I think as the weather shifts to higher temperatures I will be reaching for products like this to achieve an easy, effortless looking natural glam since most of my makeup will probably melt off anyways!
