Today's post is going to be about my summer beauty must haves when it comes to a super quick Mum's routine!
To me, in summertime, the most important thing is to stay protected from the harmful UV rays. Also, I do like to look a bit bronzed and to have that healthy summer glow. But I also don't want this glow to turn into an oily mess, that's why I like to use a just a few products, that I know will do their job!
I was inspired to tell you about my 3 minute summer face because the other day I had to take my baby boy for his vaccinations. The appointment was for 11.00 a.m. and outside it was burning hot!
I didn't have much time or will to do a full on makeup routine, but I wanted to put at least a little bit of effort into making myself look presentable for the outer world.
That's how I quickly reached for the following products and was super pleased with the results!
Obviously, I was worried about having to take my 5 month old baby outside at 11.00 a.m. in the summer heat.
That's why a few days prior to this appointment, I purchased Mustela Sun Protection Cream for the babies, spf 50 and also, I tried not to have him exposed in the sun for more than two minutes (from the house to the car to the ambulatory and vice versa).
Mustela cream is such an awesome product, I even borrowed it for my own face that day.
I put a hint of blush on my face and every summer I tend to reach for this one by Kiko Milano (from their old limited edition): I love the combo of colors and they're so versatile, you can also use them as eyeshadows. Oh yes, and the scent is sooo inviting!
On my lips, I just put this Clarins Insta Light Natural Lip Perfector that acts as a lip balm but also as a gloss, giving them a very pretty rosy color.
I also used Caudalie Beauty Elixir, before applying the Mustela spf moisturiser/ protection. You can use this product even as a final touch after applying your makeup, or on any occasion throughout the day (I find it especially useful during the hot summer days). This product is an absolute beauty must have, one of those cult products everybody loves, but as a cheaper alternative you can use rose water (such as Roberts) to freshen up your face.
To prevent your face from going all cakey and oily, here's a good old Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Face Powder.
I completed the "look" with a pair of sunglasses and some fun knuckle rings.
And that's a busy Mum's quick look, guys.
I'll talk to you soon!
