That's definitely noteworthy because why pay more when you can get similar formulations for less?

One thing she did mention is that the formula does oxidize a bit so you do want to keep that in mind when selecting a shade. "It does oxidize a smidge because it's so pigmented and they're providing swatches on their website of the concealer wet and also dry so you can see how much it does oxidize to ensure you get the best match" Melissa stated.

We love that she also breaks down all the ways you can wear this gem from a spot concealer to highlighting and contouring and get this, an eyeshadow primer. "Even if you don't want to use it as a concealer, purchase one of these to use as an eyeshadow primer because it is incredible as an eyeshadow primer" Melissa said. She noted that she used this on her lids and her eye makeup stayed put all day long. Wow, we love a good, multi-tasking beauty product! She also mentioned that "you don't have to use as much powder because of the matte finish which is great especially for under eyes." Now, this is something to look forward to, one less step with less cakiness? Sold!

Jackie Aina, Youtuber and Beauty Influencer used the elf concealer to color correct, highlight and contour in a recent upload. Here's what she said immediately after applying the concealer, "I had to like re-wet my sponge because it definitely dried down pretty significantly and you may need to kind of do a press and roll…. But that's just my technique, I like to let my concealer sit for a bit." Later, she added, "it blends so much better when you do it immediately after before it dries like so much better, wow!" So the formula is fast drying, which means you want to work in small sections and work fast.

Jackie also said she's "getting those Beauty Bakerie Concealer vibes where it was like super quick drying and like if you don't work quickly and like prep your skin with the oil and like everything else it's just gonna be really hard but sometimes concealers do have a learning curve, so you know, it happens." Sounds like prep and hydration are key when using this concealer.

On her overall thoughts, Jackie said, "The coverage is actually pretty decent, it is a little bit too matte for my liking - is this the kind of concealer I would wear? No. If it was like available to me, like let's say I was on a shoot and that was like the only thing that they have - would I make it work? Absolutely. But what I look for in a concealer I think it’s definitely a little bit more hydration and radiance - this concealer doesn’t really have a lot of that bounce that I need." So if you're a fan of creamier formulas with more hydration then, this might not be for you, but she added, "she help up really good" after a 7 hour or so wear test. She goes on to say, "my skin doesn't feel super tight or dry, This actually, actually surprised me. You guys, I would recommend this concealer, absolutely."
