I'm back with another makeup tutorial.

I'm working on the same model as last time but this time I went for something completely different. 

Last time we create a very fun and bright spring makeup look, this time I went for a dark, editorial vibes look.

It still incorporates lots of color but is totally dramatic yet still fun.

PICTORIAL:

STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL:

Step 1: Begin with a neutral eye base and apply all over eyelids. I used Soft Ochre Paint Pot by Mac.

Step 2: Apply a yellow-green shimmer shadow to the entire lid and crease and blend. I’m using Sleek’s Sparkle palette here.

Step 3: Then, apply a shimmery black to the inner ½ of the crease and blend. Since this is an editorial look, I’m not following the natural curve of the crease line but applying the shadow in an upward, diagonal like fashion.

Step 4:  Next, apply the same black to the outer ‘v’ and outer crease, leaving the center empty, to create the ‘halo’ effect.

Step 5: Now it’s time to apply the lid color. Apply neon green to the center of the lid. Blend the edges into the black shadow to create a gradient effect. I used Sleek’s Acid palette here.

Step 6: Then, apply neon orange to the center of the brow bone, connecting to the black shadow.

Step 7: Apply an electric yellow the center of the lids to really emphasize the ‘halo’ effect. Blend into the orange shade.

Step 8: Apply purple to the inner part of the crease and blend into the orange.

Step 9: Highlight and clean up the edges with a bright white.

Step 10: Finally, add a tiny amount of pink between the purple and orange to create a nice gradient.

Step 11: Line the lower waterline with purple liner and smudge purple shadow all over the lower lashline.

Step 12: Apply a dark blue on the outer ½ of the lower lashline for a smoked out effect.

Step 13: Apply primer and your favorite foundation. I used Missha B.B Boomer as the base and L’oréal Infallible foundation.

Step 14: This kind of dramatic makeup requires sculpting, so don’t forget to highlight and contour.  I used Too Face Cocoa and MAC Skinfinish.

Step 15: Finish with a deep blackened violet lip. I used Colourpop Hutch and topped off Tammy Tanuka pigment in the center for a bit of glam.
