Today's post is a prismatic ombre lip art tutorial.

What makes this look special is the 'just bitten' effect on the lower lip.

This look is really 3 looks in 1! You can easily choose just the top lip design, the bottom lip design or go with the finished look for total editorial vibes!

STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL:

Step 1: Apply a matte, bright red on the top lip. I used theBalm Meet Matt(E) Hughes Long‑lasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Devoted.

Step 2: Gently press the lips together so that the color transfers from the top lip the bottom lip. Don’t overdo it since you want the color only on the center part to create the ‘just bitten’ effect.

Step 3: Apply a light nude on the rest of the lower lip and blend the edges into the red shade for a gradient effect. I used Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Magic Wand.

Step 4: To further enhance the ombre effect, apply a dark blackened red on the edges of the top lip. Try to keep this shade concentrated on the edges and don’t bring the product too down. Blend into the red shade. I used Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Prim. You can stop here for a wearable, everyday look.

Step 5: Now, it’s time to start layering shadows for extra dimension! There’s no right or wrong way to go about this, as I just played with colors as I went along. Apply your shades from dark to light to stick to the ombre, gradient effect. I used shades from the Juvia's Place Masquerade Palette. I also used Mac Extra Dimension Eyeshadow in Stylishly Merry.

Step 6: Finish with a clear lip gloss for an ultra shiny look! I used Leocrema Ultravolume Natural Lip Gloss
