Lipstick is probably my can't live without makeup product and I almost always plan my look around what color lipstick I want to wear that day!

Today's MOTD is all about beautiful, black lips and a really cool glossy lid. This isn't something I'd necessarily wear out of the house unless the occasion really suited it but it's always fun to get more editorial and practice some new techniques that you wouldn't normally use.

I've heard a lot about glossy, monochromatic lids lately in the fashion and beauty world and I really wanted to try it out for myself. It's such a simple technique to do and definitely added major punch to this look. Honestly, all I did was dab a bit of lip balm on my lids and boom - glossy lid achieved! I also decided to skip mascara (what?!?) so my lashes didn't overpower the lid. I paired this simple, neutral lid with a contrasting dark black lip and some glowing skin.
