MOTD: Bronze Eye Cut Crease Tutorial

Today's MOTD is a soft cut crease with a bronze lid and finished off with some falsies. I had to attend a wedding this weekend and I always love a good excuse to bust out some false lashes! I finished off this look with one of my favorite neutral lip colors, Kat Von D Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita 2. It's a beautiful terracotta pink color and it's my go-to right now for an everyday lipstick.

STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL:

Step 1: Prime eyes with your favorite shadow primer and set with a setting powder or a light colored eyeshadow.

Step 2: Apply a piece of tape to the side of each eye to help with precision and clean lines (optional).

Step 3: Using Indie as a transition shade, apply to crease area and blend out.

Step 4: Using Profesh, apply to crease area and blend out.

Step 5: Using No Filter, apply to crease area with a fine tip shadow brush (I used Kat Von D Beauty Shade and Light Eye Contour Brush) to create your cut crease line and very softly blend while keeping the cut crease line defined (you can go over this line lightly after blending to increase definition).

Step 6: Using Drama, go over your cut crease line for added definition and again, very softly blend out while keeping definition in your line.

Step 7: Using Ethereal, apply all over lid and right up to your crease line but not over it as you don’t want to lose your cut crease.

Step 8: Apply liquid liner to create a dramatic wing, remove tape.

Step 9: Apply primer to the face.

Step 10: Apply foundation with brush and blend out with a beauty sponge.

Step 11: Apply concealer over blemishes or troubled areas for added coverage.

Step 12: Apply cream contour underneath your cheekbones and to the perimeter of your face and blend out with a beauty sponge.

Step 13: Apply cream highlighter underneath your eyes in the shape of an upside down triangle, forehead, chin and underneath your cheekbones below the contour line you just created, blend out with a beauty sponge.

Step 14: Set under eyes with setting powder and “bake” during the following steps.

Step 15: Set the rest of your face with setting powder.

Step 16: Apply powder contour over top of all the places you put down cream contour for added definition.

Step 17: Apply powder highlight over top of all the places you put down cream highlight for added highlight.

Step 18: Fill in brows as you normally do (pencil, pomade, gel etc).

Step 19: Apply bronzer on cheeks and forehead and blend into your contour for added warmth.

Step 20: Brush away excess powder from under eyes.

Step 21: Using Drama, smudge into your lower lash line.

Step 22: Using Indie and Profesh, blend/smoke out Drama on your lower lash line.

Step 23: Using Starburst, apply to inner eye corners and brow bone for highlight.

Step 24: Apply highlight to the tops of your cheekbone area, cupid's bow and (if desired) the bridge of your nose.

Step 25: Apply blush to the apples of your cheeks and blend into highlight and bronzer/contour.

Step 26: Set with setting spray and apply more highlight to damp skin for a bolder glow.

Step 27: Apply mascara and false lashes.

Step 28: Finish with a neutral lipstick.
