The Pantone Color of the Year 2017 is Greenery, this is a very juicy green hue which nevertheless does not appeal to anyone, on its own.
Nevertheless, I decided to create a makeup look in these colors and added a little bit of black to create a smoky eye look.
The black warms up the green shade and makes it more wearable than if you were to just wear the green alone.
This bold look would be great for Mardi Gras or even St. Patrick's!
Enjoy the tutorial.
STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL:
Step 1: Apply a bright yellow eyeshadow above the crease and blend outwards and upwards towards the brow bone to diffuse the edges. Under the eyebrows, apply a light yellow gold eyeshadow as a highlight. Blend into the bright yellow.
Step 2: Apply a bright lime green to the entire crease and outer 'v' area. Blend!
Step 3: Then, apply a shimmering green onto the entire lid. Blend to create a gradient look.
Step 4: Apply black eyeshadow to the entire lower lashline and the outer 'v' to smoke out the look and add dimension.
Step 5: Smudge lime green onto the lower lashline right below the black, to create a 'halo' effect. Blend out the edges with yellow eyeshadow.
Step 6: To add a bit more contrast to this look, add black liner to the upper lashline and wing our for a bold look.
Step 7: This dramatic look calls for a pair of false lashes. Finish with a few coats of mascara!
