1) What does makeup/beauty/fashion mean to you?

Makeup is an art. I have always been an artist in some form or another since I was little. Now that art is expressed in the form of makeup and nail art. It is a way for me to express my style and experiment with my look. The right makeup look can really pull a whole outfit together.  I love teaching others what makeup looks are flattering on them and love answering questions about makeup products. It is my number one hobby and I am very passionate about it.

 2) When did you start getting into makeup/beauty/fashion?

I started getting into makeup when I started watching YouTube videos my senior year of high school. One of the first YouTube makeup artists I watched was makeupgeektv. Her videos really inspired me to get into makeup and start making videos myself. I started making YouTube makeup tutorials that same year. It is amazing to me how changing a few colors can make you look so different.

 3) What’s your 1st ever beauty product?

I think that would be false nails. When I was little I was obsessed with wearing false nails. I remember it used to be extremely painful to remove them and then remove all the glue. Thank god, I never wear false nails now. I grow out my real nails and love doing nail art on them!

 4) What’s your favorite makeup brand and why?

That really depends on which beauty product we are talking about. I use products from a variety of drugstore brands and high end brands. My favorite makeup product is eyeshadow and MAC makes the best eyeshadow pigments. I love them!

 5) Name the one makeup product you cannot live without and why?

MAC Studio Finish Concealer! For any other product I use I can find it in another brand, but it is so hard to find a full coverage concealer that covers my dark spots. MAC concealer is the best for that!

 6) What’s your best makeup tip?

It’s hard for me to choose just one! If I had to choose though, it would be to make sure you apply a dark eyeshadow color to your crease along with your lid color. Applying just a lid color, especially one that is light, looks incomplete (at least to me). If it is a really light color then it can look really washed out too. Applying a darker color in the crease will really pull the look together and make your eyes look more glamorous!

 7) What’s the one thing your viewers don’t know about you?

I am obsessed with nail art and sell my own handpainted nails in my Etsy shop! My Etsy shop is named ‘Nailartbyseema’. I do nail art all the time, but haven’t made many tutorials on it. That’s definitely something I need to do more of!

 8) Do you have any special/hidden talents?

My special talent is eye makeup and nail art!

 9) Why/When did you start posting videos/blog?

I watched other people do makeup on YouTube and wanted to do try it out too! I am so glad that I did because it has really helped me improve my skills. I started making YouTube makeup tutorial my senior year of high school.

 10) Who’s your biggest inspiration (YouTuber/blogger) and why?

Marlena from MakeupGeekTV is definitely my biggest inspiration. I have been watching her doing makeup on YouTube even before I started. I also saw her as a makeup teacher because she is perfect at explaining everything and giving tips and product recommendations. There are other great makeup artists on YouTube too, but Marlena is definitely the best in my opinion. I love her!
