Hey dolls,
Here's how to transform your matte, liquid lipsticks for some fun, pick-me-up lip art!
I went for a deep chocolate shade along with bright red, pink and purple - for Valentine's of course!
Although I chose a rather bold and contrasting color palette, if you'd like, you can choose more subtle shades for a more wearable look.
Enjoy the tutorial!

STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL:
Step 1: Outline your lips with a dark lipliner.
Step 2: Then, using a matte liquid lipstick of your choice, fill in your lips entirely; I used ColourPop’s Limbo, a deep chocolate brown.
Step 3: Apply a purple pigment to the upper half of the lip and blend the bottom edge for a gradient effect.
Step 4: Now, for the lip art, apply bright or neon hues so they will pop against the dark matte lip. I chose purple, red and pink shades. Apply by creating small ‘c’ or ‘u’ to create the swirl pattern. I first applied the purple and then outlined the design in the red to create contrast.
Step 5: Finally, add pink here and there to create dimension to the design. There you have it, an avant garde design that looks almost like roses or clustered hearts which is perfect for Valentine’s Day!
Step 6: I added a touch of gold pigment to the bottom lip to keep it fun.
