But for any manicure to last longer, you need a good and effective top coat to seal and protect the design.  
I'm very particular when it comes to top coats and 'til now only 2-3 brands have impressed me.

PACKAGING: It comes in a see through box which you can see the bottle. All the details are written on the box and when you open it, you get your polish. It's travel friendly and has sturdy packaging. The brush applicator is smooth and square shaped which gives proper coverage to your nails in one stroke.

STAYING POWER: On my nails, it stayed well for 12 days without any problems. If you re-apply it after every 3 days, your manicure will last 'til the time you take it off.

PRICE: Ouch! Yes, it is costly but when you'll experience the results yourself, you're going to love it for sure.

MY EXPERIENCE: I totally love this top coat! Basically, when I paint my nails with any nail polish, I hate sitting for hours and waiting for them to dry. That is the time this top coat is my savior. I apply one coat of it on my nails and within 60 seconds, I'm ready to go! After finishing my nail art designs, if I'm in a hurry, I apply this top coat and wow! 
I always advise to use a nice base and top coats as these 2 treatments help your manicure to last longer. But as for now, I'm in love with Sally Hansen Mega Shine Top Coat.

RESULTS: In the image below, I had applied Sally Hansen Mega Shine Top Coat and I think it did a pretty good job. This manicure lasted for 12 days after applying this top coat.
