Galaxy nail art is a trend that seems will never go out of style. I decided to make a tutorial on how to make them with a lot less fuss.

You can also use a black base and other metallic shades to create fireworks nails instead of galaxy nails for a party look!

But for now enjoy this romantic galaxy nail art tutorial :)

WHAT YOU NEED:

For this manicure you need a bright base polish I used LA Girl Love Notes.

You also need at least 3 different colors that will give the universe effect, they must be different types of opacity and darkness of color. I used Catrice Robert's Red Ford, P2 Cosmopolitan and Kleancolor Neon Fuchsia.

To make some quick stars in this galaxy, I used Essence Steel-ing the Scene.

To make it a bit more cute and whimsical I used Essence Stamp me! White and BM-610 stamping plate. Besides the lastly noted plate I also used Y020 stamping plate to make the base universe pattern.

STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL:

Step 1: Apply base polish.
Step 2: Apply the galaxy pattern using the darkest of all colors so it will be visible even after all the layers of stamps.
Step 3: Apply the 2nd layer of stamps. Also add them randomly, they are supposed to overlay the 1st layer. It also makes the manicure look better if this pattern is not identical to the 1st one.
Step 4: Apply the 3rd layer of stamps. Now it is time to also clean up around the nails and add some top coat.
Step 5: Apply the gold glitters to make them seem like stars in a far away galaxy.
Step 6: Apply the planets stamp if you want to add some whimsy in your nail art.

FINISHED LOOK:

Here are the finished nails and I love how they turned out!  They look so fun - and you can also use heart stamps instead of the planets, so this could double as a great Valentine's Day manicure <3
