Hi Dolls,

I'm back with another NOTD manicure.

The smoked or smokey effect nail art is very fashionable and is a popular trend in the nail art community.

There's a lot going on with the look but because I kept it monochrome - all within the same color family, so it works.

GET THE LOOK:

To achieve the smoked nail effect, we need a gel polish in black and a cleaner.

Although this design is not particularly beginner friendly, if you take the time and effort, the effect is amazing.

Apply a tiny amount of black gel polish on a clean and dry nail. Then, apply a few drops of cleaner, which will give you an instant blur effect that resembles smoke.

I added the smoked effect to two nails and then added an ombre accent nail with rhinestones. To complete the look, I  painted the fingers on the end in solid shades to match the look - one grey and one black.
