Hey everyone! I hope you all doing great and thanks for your visit!

Today I’m so excited about this blog post. For the very first time, I’m going to review a product from MAC!!!!! Woot Woot!!!

Mac’s Ruby Woo was always on my wish list; finally my dream came true and this beauty is in my collection. It is better to jump on the review before I get more excited about this killer red hot lippie!

PRICE & QUANTITY: Rs. 1190/- (prices have been hiked to 1500 now [approx]) for 3g

SHELF LIFE: 3 years

AVAILABILITY: Buy online on Amazon and offline in stores near you

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Mac Ruby Woo is a bold red matte lipstick from their Retro Matte Lipstick range. It gives a retro look to your lips, which doesn’t smudge away even if you eat tons of food.

INGREDIENTS: In the image below.

HOW TO USE: Just apply it as any normal lipstick! But make sure you apply lip balm underneath to keep your lips moisturized. For the perfect retro look, line your lips first with a lip liner.

MY EXPERIENCE: Mac Retro Matte Lipstick ‘Ruby Woo’ comes in a cardboard box on which all the details about the product is mentioned. Inside the cardboard packaging, you will see this beauty, which has a complete black body. The lipstick comes in a metal black packaging with tight cap and a silver ring to divide the packaging equally. It has a retractable bottom to pop out the bullet for application. Though there is not much creativity on the packaging, it still has a sleek look and is travel friendly too.

The lipstick is not at all heavy on the lips and the texture is smooth but I’d still recommend you to apply lip balm underneath as it becomes super matte on application. It doesn’t moisturize your lips and also starts fading away after 4-5 hours. You will need touch ups. So, I would recommend a generous amount of lip balm before applying this lipstick. It’ll help your lips to stay moisturized since matte lipsticks can be over-drying on the lips.

I’d also recommend that you line your lips first to get those perfect retro bold matte red lips. Other than this, I have not experienced any disadvantage. Even if you check out my LOTD (images below), I have applied 3 layers of lip balms before applying this lipstick. But still, I love this shade so much! This is perfect for Indian weddings and functions; also for Indian skin tones. I always wanted to grab ‘Ruby Woo’ and I’m very much happy with my purchase. It really made me go ‘wwwwwwoooooo.’ What about you?

RATING: 4.5/5
