Recently I tried the new box hair dye by L'Oreal, called Colorista Paint! Have you seen this new line of hair colors?
In this line, they have got some really crazy, bright and fun colors (I actually picked up a few to try out, so in the next couple of months I'll be trying out peach, violet and dirty pink hair dye!) and these are all wash out colors ( for all of us who like to have fun with colors without having to commit to crazy colored hair!).
But the first dye that I went for, from the Colorista range, was actually a permanent color and I picked it up to freshen up the color of my lengths!
I picked the "Beige Blonde" shade:
The color looked really beautifully and super shiny on the box, and even though those images are often unrealistic, I actually loved the result!
As this color isn't recommended for darker hair, I used something else on my roots, as this particular shade surely wouldn't be able to lighten them enough.
The color is really easy to apply in the comfort of your own home!
Even though it's a permanent color, these box hair dyes tend to fade in about a month or two.
One negative thing I noticed about this paint was the overly strong odor (it was suffocating me, I had to open all the windows!) and not that nourishing effect on the hair (as some box hair dyes tend to have!).
In the kit you'll also get a handy little brush, so you can use it to get the 'ombre' or 'undone' effect.
These Colorista paints really allow you to be creative and play a bit with your hair!
If you'd like to hear what else do I have to say about this hair color, make sure to check out my video review here:
I hope this was helpful in case you were thinking of trying these colors by L'Oreal Colorista!
