Hi!

Today I have a tutorial on a pretty basic smokey eye look. I've always loved cut creases and anything with clean lines, so I've never really done too many smokey looks. So, I thought it was about time I learned how to do a smokey eye.

This is what it ended up looking like:

I was inspired by @AuroraMakeup on Instagram with that little bit of gold on the center of the lower lashline.

PICTORIAL:

STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL:

Step 1: start by priming your lids, I used Urban Decay's Primer Potion in Eden.

Step 2: apply a black base on top of the primer, I used MUFE Black Flash Colour. You can use, for example, a black eye pen or a cream shadow if you don't have those flash colours.

Step 3: blend the black base a bit upwards so there won't be any harsh black lines and start adding a light neutral shadow there from the crease up. I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Orange Soda from their Lavish Palette.

Step 4: add some black shadow on the moving lid on top of the black base, I used Anastasia Black Diamond eyeshadow also from the Lavish Palette. I left a bit of a gap there between the black and the lighter shade as next I'll be blending those together.

Step 5: apply a medium brown eyeshadow in between the black and a bit on top of the lighter shade. I used Sienna eyeshadow from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lavish palette again.

Step 6: add black on the lower lashline like in the pic, I used black diamond eyeshadow, again.

Step 7: apply some golden glitter over the black on your lid and some shimmery grey eyeshadow on your tear duct area. I used Violet Voss Daffodil glitter and Anastasia Beverly Hills Antique eyeshadow. I also added some holographic glitter from Masquerade Cosmetics on the tear duct.

Step 8: then, clean up the edges of the eyeshadow with a concealer so you'll get a sharp line on the outer corner. Apply black eye pen on the waterline and gold in the center.  I also added some false lashes. I used Anastasia Covet Waterproof Eyeliner in Noir, Makeup Geek Liquid Gold Pigment on the center and Pixie Luxe and Precious Lashes from House of Lashes.

I also did my brow again, I always end up with so much eyeshadow on my brows that it's just easier to do them last.

I hope you guys liked this tutorial and thanks for reading <3!

Hanna
