Today I have a tutorial of a look I pretty much improvised along the way so I hope you don't mind my instructions being a bit backwards. I wanted to play with dramatic winged liner and this is what it ended up looking like:
First I applied a piece of tape on the corner of my eye to make straighter lines and sketched the shape I wanted to do with black eyeshadow. I used Urban Decay’s Primer Potion & Lovesick eyeshadow for this step.
Then I started to apply black eyeshadow along those lines making a C-shape on the lid. I left a blank space in the outer corner because that's where all that liner stuff will go. I used UD Lovesick again.
Then I started to add colors, I added reds, pinks, yellows and oranges, as I felt like so I don't have more detailed instructions about where each shade should go. My blending isn't very neat yet because I kept adding all shades little by little but you can do the blending and stuff properly right away, if you’d like. I used Sugarpill Dollipop, Concrete Minerals Ember & Napalm, Illamasqua Apex and pink & orange from the Sleek Acid Palette.
After adding some white in the blank space on the outer corner of my eye, I started to do the liner part. First, I did a basic cat-eye shape and made the wings a bit wavy, then outlined the wings with some white Make Up For Ever Flash Color to get them more defined. If I made some mistakes, I used Masquerade Cosmetics precision eyeliner pen for lining and Sugarpill Tako for the white eyeshadow.
Here I added a bit more of that white flash color.
As I said, I improvised a lot so I kept going on with those white lines. I tried to make all the lines wavy so the would look better together, including the line on the inner corner.
I added some more lines, both white & black.
I added one more white line, put on some mascara & lashes and the look was done.
I used Urban Decay Zero Eye Pen on my waterline, Girls With Attitude Madame Butterfly Lashes & Anastasia Beverly Hills Hypercolor Lashtint in Ultra Violet.
